This plant is a Northwest favorite! Hops plants produce edible flower heads that are most commonly used in brewing. Hop plants form cone-like flower structures that are yellowish green and very fragrant. These fragrant flowers are popular in brewing or medicines but they are also beautiful as an ornamental plant! Leaves are somewhat heart shaped and deeply lobed with toothed edges. This is a perennial vine that dies back every year. It grows best on a trellis or fence and will live for many years.
