Shuksan

Named for Mt Shuksan, a prominent peak in Northwest Washington State, Shuksan strawberries were first introduced in 1970 through the breeding program at Washington State University. With Northwest, Sierra, and Columbia varieties in their parentage, Shuksan strawberries are large, with a broad wedge shape and yellow/red seeds. They are bright red and glossy in appearance, medium-firm in texture, and excellent for eating fresh, freezing whole, or for making preserves and jam.
